Reduce your carbon footprint by another 50% in privacy and comfort. We don't call it The Eco Cottage for nothing. All aspects of sustainability were considered in renovating this cottage. The room was constructed by local carpenters using locally harvested lumber and insulated with recycled blue jeans. The water is solar heated, and the heat is a vented, kerosene, thermostat-controlled heater. The toilet is a Clivus Multrum. The stonework by local stone mason, and all interior paints are low VOC or milk paints. No disposable plastics are ever used. The toiletries are organic, and the soaps are homemade. Owners live on site.
